Fine Original Swords, Axes, Maces, War Happers, Clubs, and Related from The History Store (Ax, Bhuj, Club, Hammer, Mace)

This is an Indian Bhuj or Kuttai knife-axe (or polearm) and is considered quite rare. It is a weapon native the Sind and to North Western India. It has a typical short heavy blade, similar to a pesh-kabz dagger, mounted straight on a haft, sometimes containing a concealed dagger blade in the pommel.
Overall length is ~28-1/4" including the ~7" blade. Blade is captured by a cast brass likeness of an elephant's head, hence sometimes called by the name "elephant knife."
