Bullova Fighting Ax, Chota Nagpur, India

"The bullova is the traditional fighting axe of the Chota Nagpur aboriginal tribes of central India." The blade is made of hand forged steel, the mounting socket made of brass.
This example has a recurved blade, length is ~11-1/4"; shank of mounting socket extends outward from the wooden shaft/handle ~1-1/2"; overall length is ~33-1/4" from upper tip to bottom of shaft.
