Danish Model 1867 Sword Bayonet
For the M1867 Rolling Block Rifle

These bayonets were designed to fit the Danish Model 1867 Rolling Block Rifle. They are a cross between the French 1866 Chassepot and the British 1856 2-Band Enfield sword bayonets. They are very similar in appearance to the Turkish Model 1874 Yatagan Sword Bayonet.

All of these I have encountered are German made by Gebruder Weyersberg of Solingen.

These bayonets are well made. The grips are black pressed, checked leather; yatagan (re-curved) blades.

Scabbards are black leather body with steel throat and drag.
