Danish Model GM50 Garand Bayonet

These bayonets are basically exact copies of the US M1 Garand Bayonet and were manufactured sometime during the 1950s.

This particular bayonet was manufactured by FKF (unknown maker) in 1955.

These bayonets are well made. The grips are black plastic; blades are Parkerized. The blade is ~10" in length, steel, with single-stopped-fuller (both sides), single-cutting-edge with short false-edge towards the tip, spear-point tip.
Blade ricasso is stamped with crown, over maker - in this case FKF, - over the date of manufacture - in this case 1955.

Scabbards are the M7 style, but unlike the green "plastic" US version, these have a wood-grain pattern and have a stained-wood appearance; sheet-steel throat displaying a crown over HTK.

  • The following information has been supplied to me by a colleague:

    • HTK - Hærens Tekniske Korps (Army Technical Corps)
    • FKF - Forsvarets Krigsmaterial Forvaltning (Defence War- material Administration)
    • HMAK - Hærens Materiel Kommand (Army Materiel Command)
