Russian Model 1944 Mosin-Nagant
Integral Folding Socket Bayonet

This is the Russian Mosin-Nagant Model 1944 integral folding socket bayonet, with cruciform blade. It comes attached to the M44 Mosin-Nagant Infantry Rifle and is held in place by a spring-loaded socket mechanism. The tip of these is formed in the shape of a standard screwdriver.
These bayonets replaced the Russian Model 1891 Mosin-Nagant Socket Bayonet types.
The M44 was used through WWII and was produced in the millions. Russia and China both used this bayonet and rifle.
