Austrian Model 1911 (aka M1912) Steyr-Hahn Semi-Auto Pistol, 9mm Steyr caliber, scarce Bavarian Contract, manufactured circa 1916.
Only about 10,000 of these were produced for the Bavarian Military in 1916 and another 6,000 in 1918. Dated 1916 on the side. These are essentially the same as the Austrian military contracts except the Bavarian contracts lack the alpha character pre-fix on the serial number and are dated either 1916 or 1918.
