American Flask & Cap Co. "Shell Design" Powder Flask

American Flask & Cap Co.
"Shell Design"
Powder Flask

This is called a "Shell" design because of the clamshell pattern on the lower half of the flask body.
Common screw-off top, 5-setting adjustable charger from 4 to 6 drams; believed to be for a shotgun.
Copper body (~7-1/4" x ~3-3/4" x ~1-3/8") with four hanger ringlets; heavy brass top. "Blued" steel spring.
AM.FLASK & CAP CO is stamped in a curve on the top face near the charger spout.
