African "Billao" Dagger with Scabbard, Somalia

African Somali "Billao" Dagger with Scabbard believed to date from the 19th century. Overall length in scabbard is ~15-1/2"; overall length out of scabbard is ~15-1/8". Classical non-symmetrical leaf shape blade, 8 1/4" long, ~2-3/8" wide. The handle is made of two sections of horn separated by what appears to be a silver ferrule or spacer. Pommel cap/ornamentation is missing and horn appears to have some borer damage. Tooled hide scabbard. Interesting flat thin-bladed knife.
