Barong Short Sword, Moro, Philippines

This sword is known as a Moro "Barong" short sword or machete and was used by the fierce, warlike Morosans of the Phillipines. The Moro was the last tribe of peoples to be subdued during the Phillipine Insurrection by "Black Jack" Pershing.
Overall length example is ~26-3/4"; blade length is ~16-3/4"; hilt is wood with thin brass collar and ferrule. Decorative carved pommel design.
