Two-Handed Dao Sword of the Nagas of Assam

This is an example of a scarce - if not rare - two handed sword or dao from Assam, Burma. All iron/steel construction, with an ~18" long double-edged blade; ~1-3/8" wide at the rudimentary ricasso, widening to a ~2-1/4" duck-foot-shaped tip. Forged together with the blade is an additional ~14-3/4" long handle with iron spike/nail cross-guard, decorated with tufts of hair towards the pointed quillon tips. Overall length is ~33".
