French 1st Empire/Napoleonic Cavalry Officer's Saber


Original French 1st Empire/Napoleonic Cavalry Officer's Saber with scabbard and leather sword hanger straps. Overall length in scabbard is ~40". Overall length out of scabbard is ~37-1/2".
One piece wood grip, smooth finish. Brass hilt is missing the knuckle "D-guard" but upper and lower quillons remain on this example
Blade is ~32-1/4" in length, and ~1-1/4" x 3/16" at the ricasso. Unstopped single fuller both sides. No makers or inspectors marks visible on this example.
Scabbard appears to be black painted copper with brass furniture. Leather hanger straps.
