This is the long version of the Khyber knife and is believed to be from the region of Afghanistan. It's overall length out of scabbard is ~32"; blade length is ~26-1/4" making this a short sword, but often refered to as a knife; blade width is ~2-1/8" at ricasso.
T-back wootz blade, slightly down-swept in a yatagan fashion, with two fullers - one running virtually the entire length of the blade - at the back-edge - while the other shorter fuller is ~4 long extending toward the tip, beginning at the hilt.
Ivory two-piece grips held in place by three rivets. Gold over-lay on iron hilt and exposed areas of full blade tang.
