African "Takouba" Sword, Sahara


Takouba, the sword of the Tuareg, with a double edge blade. This example has a blade length of ~30-1/4" and appears unmarked. The hilt is of the classical Takouba design with brazil-nut pommel; scabbard is tooled leather. Total length of sword is ~36".
