Talibon Sword, Northern Phillipines
Fine Original Knives, Swords, Machetes, and Related from The History Store)

"The Talibon sword is the main battle sword of the Christian tribes of the northern Philippines." A very-good authentic Phillipine sword, circa 19th century; hard piece to find. There is an inventory tag attached to the hilt of this sword, but the ink is so faint it is very difficult to make out the wording; perhaps it contains better sword information.
The blade is characterized by its somewhat straight back and swell-belly-shaped cutting edge.
Overall length is ~30-1/2"; blade length is ~25-3/8". Handle generally of horn or carved wood.
