Turkish Model 1874 Saber Bayonet, no scabbard

Turkish Model 1874 saber bayonet, perhaps for the Turkish Peabody, but I suspect these were actually for a Winchester Musket. Pressed leather, checked grips; nickel-plated steel bird's head pommel and cross-guard. Overall length ~28-1/8" with ~22-5/8" yatagan-shaped (recurved) blade.
Blade is marked with a capital W (I suspect for Winchester). Pommel is stamped with a capital H, presumably and inspector's mark. Blade has been lightly sharpened.
Overall condition is about good; slight damage to grip and leaf-spring screw on right side (see images).
NOTE: No scabbard.
