Chilean M95 Bayonet converted to Fighting Knife

CHLN95CNVFKNF2

$45.00

Interesting conversion of an original Chilean Model 1895 Mauser Bayonet, converted to a fighting knife (see images). Originally manufactured by Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Company of Solingen, Germany (and so stamped on the ricasso).
Overall length in scabbard is ~15-1/2"; overall length out of scabbard is ~14-3/8"; blade length is ~9-1/2". Wood two-piece grips with rudimentary "bird's head" steel pommel (missing catch release mechanism; steel guard has been modified by removing the muzzle-ring; this is typical on bayonets converted to fighting knives).
From the Estate of Russ "Rusty" Cox, character actor (The Wind and the Lion, Broken Spur, The Sacketts, Rough Riders, On the Line).
Fair to good condition overall.
