Colt 1860 Army Military, mfg. circa 1863

Original Colt 1860 Army Revolver, .44 caliber percussion, manufactured circa 1863, serial number 113759; this is the military three-screw version cut to accept a detachable shoulder stock (not included) but without the fourth screw. A good mid-war example; quite a bit of wear with scattered light to moderate pitting. What a history this one must have - Civil War vintage. Appears complete and original but has seen hard use; appears to be all matching numbers including the barrel wedge (3759). Poor to fair condition overall, grips better with cartouches still visible (see images); cylinder scene remains visible as does patent number and date (see images). No original finish remains; rough bore showing lots of black powder use.
