Rare Japanese Type 30 Bayonet (aka Arisaka) Bayonet, variation T-I, made at the Toyokawa Kosho Naval Arsenal and stamped with the "Rocking Star" arsenal logo. Comes with scabbard and frog (retaining strap is missing from frog, see images).
Overall length, in scabbard, is ~21"; bayonet, out of scabbard, is ~19-7/8" in overall length. Forward-swept blade-breaker lower quillon; crossguard and pommel and made of steel; stamped into right pommel is the number, "291"; attaching mechanism (button) is on left side of pommel and is functional; two-piece grips are made of wood and in good condition; grips held in place by original washers and rivets.
Straight single-edged blade is ~15-1/4" in length, ~7/8" wide at ricasso; blade bears an old sharpening to the cutting edge; fullered groove is ~11" in length. Slight bend in blade (see images).
Scabbard is ~16-3/8" in length; scabbard throat has a metal loop for attaching leather strap from belt attaching frog (not included); drag has a ball finial. Two dents in scabbard (both sides) perhaps to prevent rattling (see images).
Overall condition is good.
