Very nice Japanese Type 30 (aka Arisaka) Bayonet, variation E, made at the Hikari Seiki Seisakusho Arsenal and stamped with the "Stacked Cannon Balls" and "Hourglass" arsenal logo.
Overall length is ~20. Forward-swept blade-breaker lower quillon; crossguard and pommel and made of steel; stamped into pommel is the number, "52895"; attaching mechanism (button) is on left side of pommel and is functional; two-piece grips are made of wood and in very good condition; grips held in place by original rivets.
Straight single-edged blade is ~15-5/8" in length, ~11/16" wide at ricasso; blade appears to bear the original sharpening to the cutting edge; fullered groove is ~12" in length.
NOTE: NO SCABBARD.
Overall condition is very good to excellent.
