This is a US Navy Mk2 Combat Knife with Scabbard, unknown manufacturer. Blade is engraved, "SHERMAN" on the left ricasso (this was obviously done by hand). This is an old knife.
Knife has steel pommel, leather washer grip, steel cross-guard; blade does not have any original finish remaining. Overall length of knife is ~12-1/8"; blade length is ~7". Blade has been sharpened on a number of occasions.
Scabbard is gray plastic and is stamped on the throat front, "U.S.N. / MK.2", back is stamped, "NORD - 8114 / B.M. Co. 1/5 v*p*". Scabbard body length is ~5-7/8".
Good condition overall, but needs cleaning.
