Turkish Model 1890 Mauser bayonet "shortened", with scabbard and belt attaching frog. These were basically a Turkish M1890 Sword Bayonet with blade shortened to ~9-1/2" to become more "knife-like"; the hooked quillon remains on this variant. Walnut grips, steel pommel and guard. AS.FA (Turkish Military Arms Factory) stamped on pommel, right side. Various other markings on pommel and blade back-edge (star and crescent moon); Arabic markings on blade ricasso.
These were manufactured to fit the various Turkish Mauser rifles of 1890, but should also fit later Turkish Mauser rifles.
Overall length in scabbard ~15-3/4"; overall length out of scabbard ~14-5/8"; blade length ~9-5/8".
Bayonet, scabbard, and frog are in good condition.
